We enjoyed a morning at the crepe truck and afternoon trip to the playground. Matthew spent much of his crepe truck time removing the small pieces of wood from this disintegrating corner of one of the platforms. (He also pointed to a discarded napkin nearby and said, "The mess! The mess!", so I picked it up for him.)
Mattie enjoyed sharing my nutella dessert crepe (alas, James was not so excited by it). There were a lot of babies and small kids there this morning. One little girl wanted to share her strawberry with Mattie, and another little boy gave him one of his Cheetos. Generous crowd! :)
Apparently today was National Train Day ("a holiday created by Amtrak in 2008", according to Wikipedia). Cousin Daniel went to see some real trains to celebrate. We didn't know about it until we heard this from Auntie Nora, but by coincidence James was wearing his Thomas the Train shoes.
