Football

At one point during the trip, a group of adults nearby were playing a game of mini football in the water.  James's eyes lit up, and he sidled himself over to get in position to catch the ball (and in fact, he did).  We told him he couldn't just join other people's game, but lucky for him, Uncle Chris had a mini-football!  (Some people who were leaving the resort had passed it on to him.)  James was thrilled to play ball with his dad, Uncle Chris, and cousin Cooper.  (Quinn and Alex joined in for a while as well.)

When he wasn't playing football, James was really excited about learning some Spanish while we were there.  We made sure to teach him one of Uncle Dave's favorite phrases -- "banos rapidos!"  (Bathrooms, quickly!)

Wildfire

The Sunday after we got back from our trip, we went to Syracuse for the Wildfire gymnastics meet.  (It wasn't the best set-up for the audience, as you may be able to tell from the pictures!)

Matthew and Mike went to the skateboard park while the meet was going on. Matthew mastered his drop-in on the scooter!  (Drop-in is when you stand on the edge of a ramp, and do a little jump onto it while staying on your board/scooter.)

James had a decent meet.  He did his personal best on the mushroom (1.5 circles without stopping), which was great.  His practice is really starting to pay off! (However, he didn't do his release on high bar -- a really unusual mistake for him -- so his score was lower than usual there.)

Poor Mike was still pretty sick -- he was a trooper to come along with us. :)

Last of the Beach

In case you are not tired of beach pictures yet, here are a few more. :)  Also, for the record, the adults were not super-impressed with the Michael Jackson show, but James thought it was awesome!

Beach Barrs

Jess has the complete group picture, but here are some others to tide you over. :)

Also, in case you were not aware, you can click on any picture on the blog to make it larger (it will go to a full-screen picture view).
