Pre-Thanksgiving Fun

 We took Matthew to the doctor before we left on our trip -- turns out he had strep throat (even though he didn't seem too sick). At least we found out without having to make a visit to urgent care! 

Everyone has been having a great time at Nora and Adrian's, even little Elsa. :)

Judges' Cup

 James had his first gymnastics meet of the season last weekend. It was just down in West Seneca, so we had an early morning but only about a 30-45 minute drive.  He did well!  He scored his personal best on high bar and came in first place in his age group (9 to 11 for this meet -- the gymnastics rules are that your "age" is whatever age you are by May 31, so he's a nine year old for competition purposes).  He also came in 3rd place all-around.  It's kind of nice that a lot of other kids on his team are in different age groups, so he's not competing directly against them.
