Ginter Lights

The Lewis Ginter Christmas lights never disappoint, and this year was no exception. It was a bit colder than ideal, but we bundled up so that it was not too terrible. :)

New Lights

We tried a new drive-through light show this year, since the one we've been to in previous years had gotten progressively weirder. This one was at the racetrack, and it was less than impressive.  They had what I guess was supposed to be a Christmas village made out of lights, but they had things like a bar and an insurance company.  :)  And then they had pirates and aliens, so they didn't feel constrained by the Christmas theme!  Possibly the best moment was when Mike asked the ticket taker how he could drive onto the track and do a few laps, and her reply was a stern, "That's not gonna happen."  :)

Maymont Friday

We didn't feel like braving the possible crowds for Black Friday shopping, but it was a beautiful sunny day, so we went to Maymont park in the afternoon.  There were still some fall colors, so it was beautiful!  (And there were rocks for the kids to climb on and a hill for them to roll down, so they had fun.)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We had a lovely time here.

Pre-Thanksgiving

The pre-Thanksgiving festivities included Daniel's puzzles/escape room, chess, and Rubik's cubes. :) We also had plenty of snack food, including free doughnuts compliments of the guy working at the gas station/Dunkin Donuts, who gave them to us rather than throwing them out at the end of the day. :)
