Ninja James

A brief clip of James on the swinging rings from last week's Ninja Warrior camp. :)

And one of Matthew scaling the wall (at the bottom at the start of the video -- he tries the rings, too, but hadn't mastered them quite yet).

Playground and Bey-ground

At the playground, Matthew just wanted to climb on the top of the train "because he didn't have a ticket."  And of course, James found it a perfect opportunity for ninja practice!

Back at home, all the boys had a blast playing with Daniel's Beyblades (which had also been a big hit last Christmas).

Warmth of February

Our fun weekend at Nora & Adrian's was made even better by the temperatures in the 60s on Saturday.  Jamesie enjoyed soccer and tag with Uncle Adrian as much as he liked playing Wipeout on the Kinect.  Mattie and Daniel played baseball with Auntie Nora (and scored many a home run, perhaps due to the short distance between the bases and the lack of outfielders).

Susie Q

Auntie Nora's new beagle Susie is a great addition to the family!  Matthew has fallen in love with her already.  She is a sweetie.  (And she was a big hit at the playground, too -- all the kids wanted to pet her.)

Like Stanley, she prefers to have the pack fully assembled -- after Daniel, Matthew, and Nora woke up, Susie went around and whined at the rest of us until we got up, too.  And whenever people come home, they're greeted with a great howling and licking.  :)

Mo Sno

Matthew's current theory about why the local schools have February break is that it's "to give kids a chance to play in the snow."

We got another eight inches or so of the white stuff yesterday, and the roads were bad enough that the boys missed their second day of LE3 camp.  But fortunately things were pretty much back to normal today, for their American Ninja Warrior morning camp at Rollie Pollies!

Braving the Single Digits

The temperatures reached a high of maybe 4 degrees today, but the boys wanted to go out in the snow!  So we bundled them up, and they helped with the snow fort and finally had a chance to try out their snow tube from Santa.  It worked pretty well!

Matthew decided that Rojo the firetruck was now "Snow-jo" instead.
