Snowy Boxing Day

We started out Boxing Day with maybe eight inches of snow, and by the time it was done, we had probably 12 inches or a little more.  We went down to the middle school and the boys had fun shaking snow off of the tree branches in the woods, and then doing a little sledding.  The snow was too fluffy at first, but then we were able to do a little sled track with some of the snow that the plows had piled up.  They had a great time!

The snow pants that Matthew got for Christmas definitely came in handy!  (Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!)  And in fact, his winter coat was too small, so he's wearing my old parka -- and it's almost the right size for him!

Merry Christmas!

Mike got his wish -- it was a white Christmas!  The snow started falling like magic at night on Christmas eve.

Even though we missed being able to see family, it was a very nice Christmas at home. The boys were thrilled with all of their presents (and the fact that Santa left their favorite snack -- sabor -- by their stockings).  And we got to say hello to the relatives by Zoom or Facetime, at least!

We had a dry day today, so Mike added to the lights!

Virtual Fun

A local tea shop did a virtual tea tasting as a fundraiser, so we did it along with some of our friends (in our own houses). It was really fun -- Matthew and I enjoyed the tea selection!

And also this week, the History Museum did a virtual presentation on the history of Buffalo Wings (so of course we had to get take-out from Duff's Wings to be in the proper spirit). It was also a lot of fun!

We also had a couple of inches of snow earlier in the week, all gone now. I guess I can't complain since it is December!  Mike got a few Christmas lights up beforehand -- and many people in our neighborhood already have their decorations up as well.
