Happy Halloween! This year Matthew was a cactus and James was a pineapple. (Matthew actually picked James's costume out for him. James's gymnastics coach loves pineapples -- he ordered pineapple outfits that the kids could buy, he gives out pineapples each month to the hardest worker on the team, etc -- so Matthew thought it would be fun for James to dress up as one. Fortunately, James agreed!)
The boys' usual trick or treat companions had other plans this year, so our trick or treating was a little more low key (and we had even fewer people than usual at the door as well!) It had been raining all day, but luckily it had stopped by the evening.
