Guitars (and Fossils)

We made it over to the Science Museum before the Guitar exhibit left!  :)  We also went to a 3-D movie about Extreme Weather (which turned out to be mostly about forest fires and glaciers melting), and the boys got to find some fossils (albeit in a box of confetti). The boys also liked designing their own guitars!

Science!

The boys had fun at the March for Science (especially since it ended near a playground, and we ran into one of James's friends from gymnastics!)

Eggs and Bubbles

 Easter fun!

Syra-Que

We finished up our trip with an early dinner at Dinosaur BBQ (also featured on the Food Network), which was fantastic.  (There was a half-hour wait list there, too, even at 3 PM -- which was just enough time for Mike to make a quick visit to the guitar store.)  James had catfish strips, which were excellent, but once he tasted my pulled pork, he just wanted that.  :)  Mike and Matthew shared a huge rib plate, and yes, we had plenty of leftovers!

(Turns out there is actually also a Dinosaur BBQ location in Buffalo -- we'll have to give it a try sometime!)

Young Canallers

After we were done at the mall, we did a quick spin around the Syracuse campus (and, apparently, the SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry campus right next door), and then went to the Erie Canal Museum.  (Of course, we listened to our Erie Canal songs CD on the way!)  It was a really nice little museum with lots of information -- although the boys liked climbing around on the model canal boat the best (though they were disappointed that the rules prohibited climbing on its roof).
