Good Day at Preschool

It was our turn to be parent(s) of the day again at preschool. Mattie did a little crying before school, but not as much, and he was fine when he was there. (Hooray!) It was beautiful weather for the walk outside. Then the teacher read them a story, and they played with play-doh, and then went on the playground.

During story time, James and Mattie were answering the teacher's questions (along with a couple of the other kids) -- they both seem to be pretty outspoken (in a good way).  James was also very enthusiastic about pointing out all the things he saw during the walk ("Fire hydrant!  More fire hydrant! Big bus!! Pink flower!")

The two year old class is really funny because for every activity, there's some kid who loses interest in the middle and wanders off to do his/her own thing -- and it's not the same kid every time.

During story time, two of the little girls sat themselves down on my lap and Mike's lap.  I guess they figured that we were okay since we were somebody else's mommy and daddy!  (Matthew looked a little surprised to see someone else on my lap, but he didn't mind.)

The third picture is Mattie's best friend at preschool, the white bear.

You can see in the "walking to the playground" picture that James is smaller than the girls surrounding him -- but three of the girls in his class have Sept/Oct birthdays, so they're more like three-year-olds than two-year-olds.  :)
