This morning's phone report was good. James' tummy is the same size as before, it feels soft to the touch, and his other vital signs are normal. These are encouraging signs because it suggests that he is not drifting into a bowel infection (NEC). On the other hand, this morning's x-ray shows a possible partial obstruction in the bowels. They are suspending his feeding for the weekend and will decide what to do about the possible obstruction on Monday.
Meanwhile....below is a clip of Matthew. He is feisty when it is time to change his diapers and take his blood pressure. But, he seems to generally be happy, and he gets over his antics pretty quickly.
