Riding Around Roslyn

Yesterday we took a ride out to Uncle Joe and Aunt Joy's farm, where the boys got to "help" Aunt Joy water her garden, and see baby calves (Honey and Bunny). James wanted milk, which we had forgotten to bring, so we headed home -- but the boys were asleep almost as soon as we started riding. So we made a quick stop at home for the milk, and then just drove around to get them as much of a nap as we could.

We ended up in Roslyn -- Mike wanted to see the remodeled Vinegar Museum. (It looks about the same as it used to, with just a more spruced-up building interior.) James woke up when we got there, and wanted to go in to see it (and to my surprise, actually wanted me to show him some of the exhibits).

Mattie woke up when we came back out (don't worry, Grandma stayed in the car with him), and we went a couple blocks down the road to the Ice Cream Shack for lunch. Our dinner companions at the Night of Elegance had raved about the vinegar shakes, so we tried the pomegranate one -- it was yummy! Matthew liked his regular chocolate one.

It was a hot and very windy day -- some of the lakes had waves on them!  Mattie and James said, "the ocean!" but we had to correct them.  :)
