Norwegian Fjords

A friend of Mike's from middle school told us about a horse farm near Roslyn. (The area around there is mostly cattle country, so this place is a bit unusual!) We went out to see it, and the owner showed us all around and told us about her horses. They're Norwegian Fjords, and there are only a handful of them in the United States. We were able to pet both the adult horses and the colts! They were off in the distance at first, but some grain enticed them to come closer. :)

They're very beautiful.  It's hard to tell from the pictures, but there are three different colors of Fjords, mainly having to do with the hair color of their manes (reds, grays, browns, and whites).

The boys liked seeing them, and also amused themselves playing in the farm gazebo while the adults were talking.  :)
