Pirate Festival

After Lockport, we went to the Pirate Festival in Olcott. The boys (well, James, Matthew, and Seth) had a great time on the bouncy houses, but the rest of the festival was...not so impressive.  Daniel said the only thing that redeemed it for him was that he learned a new pirate game!  (He recreated out of paper when we got home.)

Matthew was one of the few kids that we saw that made it all the way up the rock climbing wall!  He just kept going and looked like he knew just what he was doing. Very impressive!

The big downside to the Pirate Festival -- which we did not realize until too late -- was that most of us did not have cell phone reception there. (We're not sure if it was because the cell towers were overwhelmed with all the people or because reception is generally spotty in that area.)  Either way, we ended with two groups not able to find each other, so most of us were pretty hungry and grumpy by the time we left!  (We ended up back in Lockport for a fortunately yummy meal.)
