O-H-I-O

A couple weeks ago we made a quick weekend trip to Columbus.  (Some friends were doing the marathon and half-marathon, so that was our reason for going...although we didn't end up seeing any of the marathon itself!  We did see the friends, though, which was the more important part.)

It was fun to go back and see our old stomping grounds.  They are definitely fancier stomping grounds than they were back when we lived there!  Mike wanted to go up to the top floor of the library, and instead of dusty stacks of books, the top floor is now this gorgeous wood-paneled study space with big windows and great views. ("You got to study here?" exclaimed Matthew.  Not quite, kiddo!)

The kids were not quite as excited as Mike was to go on the tour of "houses we used to live in", but they tolerated it. :)

We stayed in a really nice AirBnB in the Short North area. It was just up the block from a great Mexican restaurant (Conseca) which we enjoyed with our friend Rich.  (The waitress impressed Matthew when she informed us that she could speak both Elvish and Klingon!)
