Eden Corn Festival

When we found out that there was a Corn Festival in Eden, NY, of course we had to go!  (This Eden is a bit bigger than the SD version -- about 7000 residents.)  I was expecting something more local, but it turned out to be like a mini State Fair.  The boys were quite excited to go on the rides!  James isn't quite tall enough for the adult rides, although he's close enough that we did go on one that goes around in a circle really fast.  The boys loved it ("I feel like a rocket pilot!" Mattie said), but it made Mike really sick!  So after that we took the boys to the kiddie midway, and they enjoyed going on the kids' Ferris Wheel and a ride that looked like Angry Birds.

The Eden Fire Department was selling corn, and it was delicious!  It was so sweet and fresh that we went back for seconds!  (We tried the corn chowder from the local church, too.  It was fine, but it was harder to get excited about hot soup on a hot day.)

As you can see, the boys wore their Eden shirts -- we were a bit disappointed that no one noticed them. :)

The pic of the twins from behind with their arms around each other is a tear-jerker.
