My college alumni office had a tailgate party this evening for the men's soccer game. (The UNC coach is an EC alum.) It was a nice event -- a fun chance to (mostly) meet new people and catch up with others.
Of course, a grown-up gathering was not too exciting for Matthew and James, but they entertained themselves with the iPad. They also enjoyed the pom-poms!
We went to a bit of the soccer game. The boys' attention to the game was minimal, but fortunately there was enough room that they could climb around a bit, and the students sitting nearby seemed very amused rather than bothered. (A couple of guys right behind us were especially entertained by Mattie's running commentary on things. He was quite interested in the numbers on the bleachers and wanted to sit on a specific one, and then had lots to say about "his paper", the team roster.)
