Great First Day

The boys' preschool teacher reported that they both had a great day!  Mattie was a little nervous about going in the morning, but we reassured him that Jamesie would be there with him and Mommy would be there to pick him up when preschool was done.  So he gave me a hug at the door, and went in with no tears!  Yay, Mattie!

Ms. S said that James was doing everything that he was supposed to be doing on his IEP (that is, he's already doing well on the goals they set for him) -- participating, answering questions, and so on.  Yay, James!  She said the only problem is that when she asks a question, Mattie always wants to jump in with an answer. :)

The picture is from our short trip to the library before dinner.  (Unfortunately, the boys are too young to get their own library card -- they have to be four.  Oh well!  They weren't too disappointed, especially since we went for pizza and to the playground afterwards.)

Here are the words that James can now spell by himself:  James, Dad, Daddy, go, dog, cat, hat, at, Matthew, and Mommy.  (And maybe stop.) Yay, James!
