Syracuse

Our hotel was right downtown, so we walked over and put our name on the list at Pastabilities, a restaurant that was featured on the Food Network. It was a longish wait, so we walked over to the guitar store (unfortunately closed) and the CD/DVD store (not closed, and the boys each picked out a movie as an early birthday present).  The Science Museum was right in the same area, but we didn't end up making it there this trip.

The pasta meal was delicious!  And it was awesome that the boys are now old enough that a half-hour wait didn't mean we automatically had to choose a Plan B place to eat. :)

On Saturday morning we went back to the mall and James was able to join a ninja class. They put him in a group with the other littler guys, and of course, he made it through the course the fastest. :)  Matthew did another scooter session, and he was doing a great job with both steering and going up and down the ramps/hills.  (The guy working at the skate park is also a referee for roller derby, so we got to learn a bit about the upstate NY derby scene!)

The luggage cart was a big hit

The mall massage chairs were also a big hit

I've become such a derby geek, I've actually looked up some of those teams online, to see if we're ever going to play them. And Upstate NY has some great team names: Assault City Rollers, Hellions of Troy, the Ithaca League of Women Rollers? Come on, those are awesome.
