Ninja Party

The birthday party was allegedly for the kids, but really the adults were looking forward to trying out the ninja obstacles!  Mike and I both made it through the rings and the ladder-to-cargo net, and he also made a valiant effort at the Devil Steps (two ladders together that you cross with your hands, the first one uphill and the second downhill).  Ryan's dad was also a pretty good ninja, as was our friend Matt!

Of course, the boys and their friends had a blast as well. :)  The only slight bummer was that Ninja Darren, who helps run the kids' classes, wasn't able to be there.  (He's also an actor, and the last performance of his current play was the same time as the party.)

Matthew was excited because he got to eat his whole name on the cookie cake.  :)

The boys got to request which obstacles to do during their party, and James wanted to do Cannonball Alley because he still hasn't beaten it.  (I overheard him tell one of his friends that Cannonball Alley was "his nemesis.")
