First Day!

The boys had a great first day of kindergarten!  The grandparents were here to see them off (and then left themselves for the next leg of their journey -- they're safely in Canada this evening visiting old friends).

We drove the boys into school this morning so that we could give James's FM system to the teacher.  We passed lots of kids and parents waiting for the bus!

Matthew was a little nervous, but he walked in, gave a picture he had drawn to the teacher, and started playing -- no problems.  :)  James didn't seem worried at all.

They had a very busy day -- they read the Kissing Hand and did an art project, did two other art projects (a bus with their bus number; a traffic light), watched a video of Chicka Chicka 1-2-3, had PE (Maple East Fitness!), passed a beach ball around to learn each other's names (they could tell something special about themselves, and they said that they were twin brothers), read another book (Mrs. Bindergarden Gets Ready for Kindergarten), and probably more that we didn't hear about!  It sounds like they enjoyed it.  Yay!

The bus didn't arrive back home until after 3 PM.  Long day for little ones!
