Soccer Surprise

We didn't think we had signed James up for indoor soccer, because it's only on Saturdays (no practices, just games), and we thought it would conflict with gymnastics. But it turns out the games are in the afternoons, so he can do both -- and it also turned out that he was magically signed up!  (I think what happened is that when we registered him for the Fall House league, they didn't have an option for the outdoor session, so I picked the November session because it was the closest one. But however it happened, we were glad about it!)

The games are 5 on 5 on a smaller field.  His team actually won this time (even though as a league, they "don't keep score" at this age), which was a pleasant start to the season.

Another great thing about soccer is that on his team, they have James with his hearing aids, another boy who is missing the lower part of his arm, and two kids who are immigrants from Yemen -- and none of kids think twice about any of that, they're all just happy to play together.
