Morning at the Market

I'm back home now, but on Friday morning in Jerusalem, I made a quick trip to the Machne Yehuda market.  The Jewish Sabbath (Shabbat) starts on Friday night at sundown, and on the Sabbath, observant Jews are not allowed to work, including cooking.  So, Friday is a busy market day as everyone is getting their food prepared in advance.  The market had an amazing array of food -- too bad I wasn't there at lunch time!  I did have some fresh-squeezed pomegranate juice and some nut samples, though.  :)
