The boys had a good time at my department picnic this afternoon (and fortunately, the rain held off until later in the day!) Mattie just wanted to walk everywhere and explore; since we didn't let James crawl, he was happy to be sociable. :) And they were both enchanted with the helium balloon that one of the students brought. They were not the youngest ones there this year, nor were they the only twins!
In other news, Mattie had one of his first tastes of Cajun cuisine tonight -- he chowed down on red beans and rice (well, mostly just the rice) with gusto. Jamesie tried it too, but we're not sure if more than a few grains made it into his mouth! (He did eat some hummus-dipped Cheerios, though, so he's getting some new tastes little by little.)
