Botanic Gardens

 I don't teach on Fridays, so I decided to do some exploring.  It didn't look like rain was on the way, so I went to the Botanic Gardens.  (Why is it not the Botanical Gardens?  I do not know.)  It was a very pleasant change to get out into nature -- there are lots of trees around, but also lots of shopping malls!

The gardens are really beautiful (but also hot and humid!)  I enjoyed walking around the Swan Lake and the Heritage Gardens, but that was enough for one day -- I decided to save the Orchid Garden for another trip. :)

I was there when the staff was putting out food for the swan -- and a whole bunch of pigeons immediately appeared, too, hoping to grab some of the swan's lunch!
