Yet another one of the local parks had a free outdoor movie on Friday night. It was a bit late for the boys (starting time was at their usual bedtime), but they were excited about seeing the Lego movie, so we gave it a shot. It was a lot of fun! Island Park is ridiculously idyllic, right by the water, with a mix of new and old-fashioned playground equipment (much like the park we went to with Grandma, which was just down the street). The pictures don't do it justice, but it really was a lovely evening.
Mike had wanted to take the boys to see the Lego movie in the theaters when it first came out, and we're glad we didn't -- they talk SO MUCH during the movie. ("Who's that?" "Is he a good guy or a bad guy?" "Why are you laughing?" "What are they doing?") Fortunately, in this venue I don't think it was a big deal, but it would have been rough in a real theater!
