On the Way

To our disappointment, the Ticonderoga ferry was not in operation, so we ended up driving across the border to Vermont instead.  We drove over some covered bridges, including one that was the highest over the water in the state. :)  Lucky for us, we stayed under the 8 ton limit for the bridge despite our pandemic snacks.  We spent the night in New Hampshire at the Wayside Inn, a B&B next to a beautiful creek.  (The breakfast was in fact delicious!)  The weather was chilly, though -- we were wearing our layers for the morning.
