Maine Beach

 

Our next stop was Wells Beach. We arrived in the late afternoon, so we were able to find a parking spot, and still had some sunlight for the kids to play.  As expected, the water was freezing, and also as expected, that did not stop Matthew at all!  James had fun playing in the sand (including making a sand angel).  

Everyone was a little tired and didn't feel like dealing with restaurant crowds, so we ended up getting some food from the little take-out place by the beach, which mainly did fried seafood -- which ended up being surprisingly good!
