The boys were learning about Hanukkah in kindergarten. Before bed, James says, "Mom! Mom, I don't want to eat potato pancakes for Hanukkah. Can we have something else instead? (pause) Oh, we don't celebrate Hanukkah! But I want to spin a dreidel. I hope it lands on the side where I get all the coins!"
Mattie was very enthusiastic about a song they heard in school called Spin the Dreidel: "It's so good! As soon as you hear it, you fall in love with it!"
