Portrait of the Artist
James had a fabulous time at the painting easel at preschool. He did a couple of paintings, and then he got interested in the color mixing. (One side had red, yellow, and white paint to make orange and pink. James kept mixing the different ones and saying, "What does that make?") Then he got the idea to put his hands in it, so he'd put his hands right in the middle of the wet paint, then go to the sink to rinse them off, then repeat. And then, at some point, the paint made it into his hair. A full bodied learning experience!
