When I arrived home from work yesterday, the power was out, so we decided just to grill out with our neighbors. It worked out wonderfully -- we had plenty of food left over from our Labor Day visitors! (We discovered a wonderful place with local meats -- they gave us a sample of what turned out to be amazing steak, so we went right back and bought some for the holiday weekend!)
It turns out that little Miss E, not quite two, outweighs both James AND Mattie now! :) She'll be catching up with her big sister soon!
I was reminded of a valuable lesson, though -- to put bug spray on Mattie even when I can't see the mosquitoes. He ended up with a couple huge bites on his legs, and they woke him up in the middle of the night with itching. Poor little guy! (And hooray for cortisone cream.)
