The boys have a couple days off from school next week for Fall Break, so we are out in South Dakota for a visit. (Some of their classmates were planning to head to Disney World -- which might not work out so well with Hurricane Matthew coming through!)
We arrived yesterday around lunchtime, after a longish layover in Minneapolis, where the boys enjoyed the playground. (Unfortunately, the food court no longer had Matthew's favorite hot dogs!)
We had lunch with Walt and Georgia, and then went over to Aunt Margie's for a nice visit with her, Eric, and Mary Ellen. Georgia had been given a book of Pitzl family history -- but for some unknown reason, it omitted their branch of the family! (Interesting to look at anyhow, but we're curious about what happened back then that the Eden Pitzls were left out!)
James couldn't wait to play cribbage with Grandpa, so we did that when we got back to Grandma and Grandpa's house, and Mike taught Mattie how to play backgammon.

We're here for the start of pheasant hunting season |
