Mike had to work on Monday, so the kids and I went out to the Science Centre. It was a lot of fun! The exhibit when you first enter is about optical illusions, which the boys love. They also enjoyed the cloud rings machine, and we went to the fire tornado show, which was indeed impressive.
There was a special exhibit on the human body which I hadn't originally planned on going to (it was an expensive extra ticket), but the boys really wanted to, so we did. It turned out to be awesome. It started with a slide down the throat, and continued through a very interactive tour through the body. (Matthew commented that the zombies would really like the giant brain section.) And then, of course, you get pooped out at the end!
Mr. Competitive James found a quiz game about Singapore rocks, and had to play until he got a perfect score. :) (Meanwhile, Matthew and I ended up watching a rather disturbing video on tsunamis. Thanks for the nightmares, Science Centre!) The boys also had fun shooting at "carbon targets."
We ran out of time for the water play area. Maybe next time!
