Stanley showed improvement again this morning, so instead of surgery, they're willing to send him home with us! They still think that surgery would be a reasonable course of action, but now the "conservative course" of strict rest also seems more reasonable. Hooray! So, if he's still showing improvement tomorrow morning, we are going to pick him up and drive down to Florida to catch our plane to South Dakota on Thursday. It's a little crazy, mainly because I'm not at all sure the boys will do well with being in the car that long. But we've been repeatedly told by the vets that car travel shouldn't be a problem for Stanley, as long as he doesn't jump out of the car. And he's not doing the SD leg of the trip; he'll be staying at Grandma and Grandpa Green's dog resort.
