Junior Zookeepers

 One morning of the trip, the boys did the Zookeeper for a Day program at the Santa Fe Zoo.  (They were enthusiastic when I signed them up, but less enthusiastic at 7 AM when the actual day rolled around.) They were the only kids there, and they were each matched up with a pair of zookeepers. Matthew was in the bird section, and got to feed a spoonbill.  (We told him Uncle Isaac would be jealous.)

James was in a different section and got to help with the Galapagos tortise and pet an emu. So, they were both pretty happy when we picked them up!  (And of course, they wanted to get stuffed animals to commemorate their experience.)
