Decorative Gourd Season

 Early in October, we took advantage of one of the last hot days of the season to go apple and pumpkin picking at Blackman Farms.  The kids just wanted to run around on the hay bales, which was fine with us -- when they go apple picking, we end up with way, way too many apples instead of just too many apples. :) 

One might argue that we also ended up with too many pumpkins, but one would be wrong, because there's no such thing. :)
