Small World at Treetops

 Last Friday, we got together with one of my colleagues and his family for swimming over at their place (Treetops, one of the other housing options for UB folks). They have a really neat pool there -- it has a waterfall, which Matthew loved, and a slightly larger play area than Fraser (our place), which James loved!

Even though we hadn't met, the first thing that Lyn (my colleague's wife) said was, "We know each other already!  I mean, I know your kids!"  It turns out that she works at Rolly Pollies and knew Matthew and James from Ninja Camp there. Very small world!  (It was also a small world since they were both at Ohio State around the same time as we were, although we didn't know each other at the time -- in fact, I only met Peter this summer.)

We at lunch at Jamie's Italian restaurant nearby the apartment complex (and in the same mall as Minecraft camp), which was very good. Observant person that I am, I didn't realize that the "Jamie" was celebrity chef Jamie Oliver until after we were done. :)
