Before that, we met with some of the school support team to go over the plan for James's IEP next year. It looks like he will qualify for speech therapy, since he's having a bit of trouble with his S and Z sounds (the sounds that are typically hardest to hear for kids with hearing loss). It's too bad that he needs it, but good that he can get it at school (assuming they agree at the official IEP meeting)-- and I suspect it will be helpful.
