Apple Picking

After a chilly few days, the weather warmed up a little today for our apple-picking road trip.  We went to an orchard near Rochester, where Sue had been years ago.  It was a beautiful place!  The ladies who run it have a gift for decorating.  We had lunch (and pie and cider) in the barn, and then went out to the orchards.  Matthew's favorite is yellow apples, so fortunately some Golden Delicious ones were starting to ripen.  We also picked Cortlands, Johnagolds, and Empires.  However, I think the boys liked climbing the tree near the barn even better than the apple-picking.
