Mike decided to participate in the 5K, mainly for the t-shirt. It was a color run, which means that they throw colored corn starch on the participants. (Very festive.) The course was three laps around town, and Mike ran all or almost the whole way -- impressive given that he hasn't actually done any real running in a long time, unless you count chasing after twins! Matthew and James went out to cheer him on, and didn't want him to stop to say hi -- they wanted Daddy to win the race! (I told them that this was unlikely!)
The skies were looking a bit threatening, but the event didn't get rained out. And the food vendors were all set up for the next day, so Mike and Mattie celebrated the race finish with some mini-donuts. :)
