Child of the Day

James was "Child of the Day" at preschool today.  His theme was puzzles.  (Ms. Kim, the head of the preschool, was very pleased that it was "age appropriate" -- apparently there were some that she did not like as well!  Ms. Jane warned me in advance that Angry Birds might not be a good choice, but James had already picked puzzles by then.  Of course, the Angry Birds graham crackers that we brought for snack were a big hit.)

He had a fun time picking out a big class puzzle to do, and his classmates enjoyed the craft project (popsicle stick puzzles).

James shared his "about me" poster with the class, and then the kids had a chance to ask questions.  James mentioned that his dog Stanley hurt his back, and about half the questions then were about Stanley!  ("How did he hurt his back? What did he jump off of?  How high did he jump?  Maybe he hurt it on the stairs.  Maybe he landed on his back.")  Who knew that an injured dog would be such a fascinating subject for four year olds?
