Hitting the Wall

On Thursday we headed west.  Of course, we stopped at Wall Drug (although the signs advertising it were not as frequent as I had been led to believe -- Pedro from South of the Border has them beat!)  Matthew loved the dinosaur there, and we all appreciated the free ice water.  :)

Mike and I rode some of the way in the convertible -- which would have been even nicer if it had not been 100 degrees!

Hay Hay

The big attraction of the day was climbing the hay bales at Uncle Joe and Aunt Joy's house!

Win Some, Lose Some

James has been playing checkers with Grandpa and Uncle Jim.  He was off to a strong start, winning his first games, but then lost a few.  The games continue!

Aberdonians

After Storybook Land, we enjoyed a late lunch with Mary Ellen and Margie, complete with root beer floats assembled by Walt.  :)

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

It was a gorgeous day for a trip to Storybook Land. The boys loved it.  James's favorite parts were the the things he could turn into American Ninja Warrior challenges -- the monkey bars, and running up the slides (the Warped Wall). Matthew liked getting to ride a tiger on the merry-go-round, and seeing the Three Little Pigs' houses.  (Grandma liked the funhouse mirrors!)

The boys also liked the gigantic piggy bank that the park was using for their fundraising (to build a new roller coaster).
