Wingin' It

 We finished our Sunday night at the Anchor Bar for wings (with fries for "dessert" -- they arrived well after the wings due to a staffing shortage in the kitchen).  Then, Nora and I took the boys home while Mike took the visitors on a tour of downtown Buffalo -- and then a spur of the moment detour to Niagara Falls to see the sunset.

Snuggly Small Animals

Last time we were at Animal Adventure, we weren't too impressed with the small animal section.  But this time they had some of the little animals out wandering around to be petted, so it was a lot more fun. The girls in particular loved the donkeys, with their soft fur and ears!  (Adrian, meanwhile, referred to the little calf as "delicious", much to Matthew's amusement.)

One little white goat was very interested in my camera bag -- at first I thought it might have smelled like animal feed from the ride, but then he also tried to take a bite out of Tash's purse and Nora's shirt, so he must have been either hungry or just...high-spirited.  :)

Kissing a Camel

Our Sunday morning didn't start out so well -- we tried to go to Lockport to see the canals, but it was pouring down rain!  So we abandoned that plan, and after lunch we headed out to Hidden Valley Animal Adventure.  Fortunately, the weather was more cooperative!

Our tour guide took a liking to Izzy, because one of the camels was also named Izzy.  :)  The guide made it her mission to have Izzy be able to kiss a camel!

This time around there were lots of baby animals (llamas, buffalo, etc.), which were very adorable. :)

The British are Here

 Adrian and his relatives from England have arrived for a visit!  (Nora and Daniel too, of course.)
