Something for Everyone

 Singpore has something for everyone (even the everyones who are not here) -- pastries for Mike, a Pokemon claw machine for Matthew, marble sculptures for James (in honor of his current marble run obsession), and a reading man statue for me. :)  I'm not sure who the Mac & Cheese and "Spaghetti Bowl" flavored potato chips are for, but I'm sure someone appreciates them.

The Y

The boys are now old enough to use the exercise bikes and treadmills at the YMCA, so Mike has been taking them -- so far they have been enjoying it!  It helps that the machines also include games. :)

Chef Vending

 Already, Singapore does not disappoint on the unique vending machine front -- these are outside the MRT station.  I'm curious about how cuisine from a "celebrity chef" translates to the vending machine format (but not curious enough yet to try it out, especially since there are tons of good restaurant options inside the MRT station!)

Also, who would have guessed that "Asia's Premier Celebrity Chef" would be named Justin?  :)

New Digs in Singapore

 I'm staying in a different apartment building this time in Singapore -- it's a new option in the Central Business District (or CBD, as they say here -- Singaporeans love their acronyms).  It's a little further from work than the place we've stayed before, but closer to interesting things to see, and very convenient to the MRT (subway).  The third and fourth pictures are the view out of my window on the 31st floor, and the second picture is the pool.  It even has a guitar player statue in honor of Mike.

Hello from Seoul

 Greetings from the Seoul airport!  I'm just here for a connection -- 13 hour flight here from Detroit, and seven more hours to go to get to Singapore. :)

Spring-ish

 The weather is verrrrry slowly starting to improve. :)  You can't tell from these pictures how much mud is in the backyard under the grass -- quite a bit!

Colonial Day

 The boys have been studying the American Revolution in school, and Monday was Colonial Day. I think our cobbled-together costumes turned out pretty well!

Heading South

We drove down to Florida the Monday after Easter, with a stop in South Carolina to drop off Isaac and Seth. We also made a stop at South of the Border, and the kids wanted to take the elevator to the top of Pedro's sombrero. :) 

Easter

The beautiful weather continued into Easter. The Easter Bunny gave the boys Beyblades in their Easter baskets (among other things), so there were many Beyblade battles! (If you are not familiar with beyblades, they're metal tops that spin and crash into each other in a special "stadium", and the last one standing wins.)  The boys also each got a book of Mad Libs. Seth's was the Golden Girls, a big favorite among seven-year old boys. :)
